Shared hosting runs hundreds of sites on one server. Custom hosting means you have your own stack — your own resources, your own limits, your own optimisations.
Bare metal or cloud?
Depends on the project. We commonly combine our own servers — at the client's site or in data centres like Hetzner and OVH — with VPS from various providers.
